Judith L. Laumann — Colorado Springs, Colo.

Judith Lee Laumann died in Colorado Springs, Colo., on June 5, 2012, after a short illness. She was a Colorado Springs resident and the proud owner of "Total Travel & Tours".

Judy was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and raised in Whitefish Bay, Wis. She attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She lived in San Jose, Calif.; Endicott, N.Y.; Raleigh, N.C.; Rochester; and had many fond memories at the family's vacation home on Big Sand Lake in Cumberland, Wis.

In 1980, she received the designation of Certified Travel Counselor, Institute of Certified Travel Agents, Wellesley, Mass.; and in 1996, she graduated from the International Guide Academy, Denver, Colo., as an International Tour Manager.

She was the loving mother of Sara Lee Laumann of Denver, Colo., (Donald M. Anderson); and Curt William Laumann of Tucson, Ariz. She is also survived by her step-sister, Carolyn Callahan Landwehr (Jim); brother, James W. Klingbiel; sister-in-law, Mary Lois Butzi (Fred); brother-in-law, Richard Laumann (Fidelina); nieces, Lisa Shovlin (Joseph), Catherine Landwehr, Jennifer Vollmer (Joe), Daniela Laumann and Rebecca Laumann; nephews, Paul Butzi (Paula), Hans and Karl Landwehr and James B. Klingbiel. She is also survived by cousins, Bruce Patzer (Lynette) and Richard Patzer (Wanda).

Judy truly loved the travel and tour business and was involved in it for most of her years. She traveled and shared the world with her clients - visiting more than 40 countries (20+ European visits). She designed, promoted and escorted countless specialty group tours in Colorado and throughout the United States. In later years tours and travel really became her life - her staff, clients and business associates were her good friends. You had fun when you traveled with Judy.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

For friends wishing to make a memorial gift in her name, we suggest Colorado Springs Senior Center (1514 N. Hancock Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903); or charity of their choice.
