Judith Mae Jamison — Rochester

Judith Mae (Sherling) Jamison, 73, of Rochester, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at her home from a failed liver and kidneys.

Judith was born Aug. 22, 1942, in Valley City, N.D., to Rev. Victor and Grace (Wierich) Sherling. At a young age, her family moved to Chicago, where she was raised and then graduated from Austin (Ill.) High School in 1959. In January 1964, Judy married David L. Jamison in Chicago.

Judy has resided in Rochester for the last 41 years while running her own day care here for about 15 years. She was also a member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Rochester. Judy enjoyed reading devotional books, Christian novels, her Bible and watching TV.

Judy is survived by her husband, David; her son, Daniel; and her daughter, Jori; four grandchildren, three siblings and their spouses and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 3, at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 5500 25th Ave. NW, Rochester, with Pastor Tim Nelson officiating. Friends may call at the church Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Memorials are suggested to Frankly Graham Samaritans Purse.
