June Anne Jorgensen -- Rochester
June Anne Jorgensen, 59, passed away Friday, Aug. 4, 2017.
June Anne Fieck was born Dec. 22, 1957, to William and Gail. She served in the U.S. military until her discharge in 1979.
June married Kenneth Newton and moved to Illinois. Together they had one daughter, Jennifer, and one son, Christopher. June worked as a dispatcher for the Plano Police Department during this time. Later June moved back to Minnesota, and her and Kenny later divorced.
June lived in Stewartville, where she was a manager at the Eastside Village Apartments. She also worked for Olmsted Medical Center and for Shawn Buryska at Coldwell Banker Burnet.
June later met Erick Jorgensen and married. He passed away in 2001. At that time, June was working for Amy Lantz. She later started at Keller Williams in 2004.
June loved animals, drawing, reading, sparkly things, her pets, horses, bright colors, sci-fi movies and most of all her grandchildren. She was loyal, a hard worker and was always there for others. June rescued many animals, was a wonderful mother, protective of those she loved and was everyone's rock. Many would known June by Mama Junebug, Terminator, GI June and Major Mom.
Her wicked sense of humor and quirky personality will be greatly missed.
June is survived by daughter, Jenifer (Todd) Kraft of Grand Meadow; son, Christopher Newton of Stewartville; five grandchildren, Parker, Madison and Morgan Kraft, all of Grand Meadow, and Chase and Ashton Newton, both of Stewartville; mother, Gail Fieck; five siblings, Tony Fieck (Shelley) of Mira Lama, Calif., Dana Fieck of Grand Meadow, Linda Milburn (Scott) of St. Charles, Michelle Fieck of Longwood, Fla., and Alan Fieck of Grand Meadow; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by father, William Fieck; husband, Erik Jorgensen; and significant other, Jerome Kerrigan.
A Memorial Service for June will be noon Saturday, Aug. 12, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, with the Rev. Andrea Buck officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon the same day as the service. Burial will be held at a later date.
