Kenneth M. Mork — Rochester
Kenneth M. Mork, 75, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Samaritan Bethany Home on Eighth, where he had resided since 2010.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes’ Chapel, with Rev. Becky Jo Messinbrink officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorials are requested to Samaritan Bethany Home on Eighth, Homestead United Methodist Church, or Seasons Hospice.
Kenneth Milford Mork was born July 25, 1936, in Rochester, to Milford Mork Sr. and Vivian (Snyder) Mork. Kenneth, a lifelong Rochester resident, graduated from Rochester Senior High School and joined the Minnesota National Guard on Nov. 19, 1952. He served in Company C Infantry, receiving his honorable discharge in 1963. He married Marie Brown in Rochester on Nov. 11, 1955.
Kenneth worked for the Mayo Clinic for 37 years.
He enjoyed his grandchildren and had a deep love for his wife and family. He was a member of Homestead United Methodist Church, the Winnebago-Itasca Travelers Club, Southern Honkers Camping Club and the Pine Island Horseshoe League. He enjoyed wintering in Texas and Arizona, NASCAR, camping and playing horseshoes.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Marie; daughters, Kathleen Mork-Lewis (Paul) of Kasson and Barbara Mork-Mathews of Rochester; three grandchildren, Tony, Crystal and Megan; eight great-grandchildren, Baily, Brandon, Jasiah, Meeka, Olivia, Sofia, Jocelyn and Elena; sisters, Jo Ann Topness (George) of Rochester and Pat Mc Knight also of Rochester; his father, Milford Sr. of Austin; and uncle, Arnold Mork (Penny) of Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian; a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Green; and his step-father, Ray Neukom.
