Kristin L. Oberstar Baumgard — Farmington

Kristin Lynn Oberstar Baumgard, 45, of Farmington, formerly of Cloquet, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.

Kris was a 1986 graduate of Cloquet High School. She graduated from Gustavus Adolpus College in 1990, and received her masters in music education in 1997 from VanderCook College of Music.

Kristin is preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Oberstar and Donavan and Beatrice Kreps; and an uncle, Michael Oberstar.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; daughter, Kaylynn; parents, James and Gladys Oberstar; sisters, Dr. Vicki Oberstar, Cary (David) Weaver and Lori Oberstar; nieces, Kristi and Kimberly Weaver; nephews, Michael and Brandon Weaver; aunt, Irene (Tom) Hemphill; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Farmington Lutheran Church, 20600 Akin Rd. in Farmington.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 22, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to service all at the church. Interment will be in Corinthian Cemetery in Farmington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to the MN Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
