In addition, he was a member of the Sue Bee Honey Association and the American Beekeeping Federation. He actively was involved at his home parish of Holy Family Catholic Church in Kasson as well as his church in Jasper, Texas. Lee Roy was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a private pilot and, for many years, enjoyed flying with friends in Texas. Five years ago, he became involved in Model T's and enjoyed driving through the countryside with his "Tin Lizzie."

A traditional Catholic Mass will be held in celebration of his life on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kasson. Visitation will be available one hour preceding the Mass.
