Lukas Joshua Wharton — Byron

Lukas Joshua Wharton, 5, of Byron, passed away June 2, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Marys Campus.

Lukas was born Oct. 3, 2010, in Rochester, to Joshua and April (Honermann) Wharton. Lukas loved fishing; riding his bike; cutting dandelions with his pocket knife; playing Army with his brother, Colton; wrestling with his brothers, William and Colton; and even playing Barbies with his sister, Eva. He enjoyed playing with his Legos and Play-Doh and loved Spiderman and all the Avengers, especially Ironman. Lukas had a passion for music, especially music from Luke Bryan. Lukas loved being outdoors and taking walks in the woods with his parents, Josh and April, spending time playing at Grandma and Grandpa Wharton's house or spending time at Grandma and Grandpa Honermann's lake. He cherished time spent in the shop with his dad and couldn't wait for Mom to rock him to sleep every night. He was a loving, shy, kind-hearted boy with a silly sense of humor.

Lukas is survived by his parents, Josh and April Wharton; brothers, William Raymond Wharton and Colton Forest Wharton; sister, Eva Lily Wharton; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Lynn Honermann; paternal grandparents, James and Suzanne Wharton; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
