Marcelene (Kidd) Kruegel - Birchwood, Wis.

ROCHESTER — Marcelene Adair (Kidd) Kruegel, 82, of Birchwood, Wisc/, formerly of Rochester, passed away on Aug. 6, 2010, in Sun City, Arizona.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Birchwood, Wisc., with visitation with the family one hour before. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens on Monday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m.

Marcy was born Feb. 26, 1928, in Austin to Florence and Earl Kidd, and grew up in Fountain. She attended Preston High School and graduated from Rochester High School, as well as Rochester Junior College. She also attended the Kahler School of Nursing. She worked for the Mayo Clinic for 27 years as a medical secretary and surgical recorder.

On Nov. 6, 1948, she married Dean Kruegel in Rochester. After living in Minneapolis and Waseca, they returned to Rochester from 1959 until Marcy’s retirement in 1988, when they moved to Birchwood, Wisc., to live full-time on Balsam Lake.

She is survived by her husband and three children: Kathy (Jim) Buzza of Decorah, Iowa, Sandy (Alfredo) Rios of Centennial, Colo., and John (Jody) Kruegel of Apple Valley; six grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
