Mary Lynn Gustafson -Red Wing

Mary Lynn Gustafson, 64, of Red Wing died Friday, April 20, 2012, at her residence surrounded by family after a two-year fight against cancer.

She was born April 28, 1947, in Red Wing, the daughter of Howard and Hazel (Berg) Bailey. She grew up in Zumbrota and graduated in 1965 from Zumbrota High School. She attended Winona State University and taught elementary education for 39 years in the Red Wing School District. On September 25, 1971, she married Wayne Gustafson at Our Redeemer Church in Zumbrota. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Red Wing. Mary loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed participating in Bible study groups, gardening, summer vacations, and the arts.

She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne of Red Wing; daughter, Indeah (Jason) Yockey of Red Wing; granddaughter, Sienna Yockey; mother, Hazel Bailey of Zumbrota; sisters, DiAnna (Jim) Kirk of Bozeman, Montana and Lydia Bailey of Frontenac; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Bailey.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Concordia Lutheran Church with the Rev. Tyge Zucker officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour to the service at the church on Tuesday.
