Mavis Elaine Webster - Stewartville

Mavis Elaine Webster, 81, of Stewartville, passed away on May 26, 2012, at the Stewartville Care Center in Stewartville. She was born on March 26, 1931, in Worthington to Peter and Pauline (Ludtke) Doeden.

Mavis graduated from Brewster High School in 1950 and the University of Minnesota in 1954. She married Carlyle Webster in 1955 in Brewster. She worked as a lab technician at hospitals in Marshall and Worthington. She later was an office manager at Martin Music Company in Worthington and at Lake Country School in Minneapolis until her retirement in 1996.

Mavis was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and was an active member in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Worthington where she taught Sunday School. She was currently a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester.

Survivors include her son, Daniel "Dan" (Lin) Webster of Rochester; one granddaughter, Jessica Webster (Michael Sprunger) of St. Paul and great grandson, Foster Webster-Sprunger and great granddaughter, Hudson Webster-Sprunger. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, David L. Webster.

The family of Mavis would like to thank the staff of the Stewartville Care Center for the wonderful care she received there.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Hersey Cemetery in Brewster.
