Michael John Winsell was born May 8, 1950, in Miller, S.D., to his parents, Leslie and May Winsell (Casey). He married Nanette Hutchins in 1971. A year later, they moved to West Concord, where they raised their three children.

Through camping, backpacking, driving and music, he found adventure and enjoyment. His humor, generosity and spirit touched many people.

Michael is survived by his wife, Nan; his children, Jesse (Heather Rietz) Winsell, Shannon (Chad) Andrist and Casey Winsell; his brother, Thomas; his five grandchildren, Parker, Crimson and Atlas Andrist, Nia and Teague Winsell; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Daniel.
