Michael Orr — Mazeppa

Michael Orr, 53, of Mazeppa, formerly of Rochester, died Friday (Nov. 15, 2013) as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Skagit County, Wash.

Michael Todd Orr was born Oct. 12, 1960 in Grand Forks, N.D., to Jerry and Carol (Brevik) Orr.

He moved to Rochester in 1968 and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1978. He later attended Rochester Community and Technical College.

Mike worked for Rochester Silo Company and was a painter for many years. He painted in the Rochester area and was a painter at shipyards in Washington State over the years.

He married Melissa Adreon and they were later divorced. He married Shelly Koperski and they were later divorced. Mike lived in Zumbro Falls from 2001 to 2010. He was visiting in Washington at the time of his death.

Mike loved to tell stories and was a kind-hearted man to just about everyone. He enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Melissa) Adreon, of Dodge Center, and Nicholas Orr of Rochester; a daughter Patti (Jon) Puffer of Coon Rapids; his father, Jerry Orr (Marsha) of Rochester; 12 grandchildren and two sisters, Jeri Liddy (Dale Lorentzen) and Kelly (Donald) Lorentzen, both of Rochester.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Lance and Jeffreyl his mother, Carol, and his brother Randy.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Rochester Chapel with the Rev. Maurice Hagen officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before the service, and a reception will be held following the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
