Michael R. Wendt - Kasson

A memorial service for Michael Richard Wendt will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester. The Reverend David Berg will officiate.

Mr. Wendt, 49, of rural Kasson, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Michael was born Aug. 24, 1963, in Stewartville, the son of Richard and Diane Wendt. He married Carol (Kiser) Mullen on July 20, 2002, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Mike worked for Himec in Rochester as a sheetmetal worker, and he lived in the Kasson area.

His favorite hobby was riding his Harley with his wife, and visiting the train depots, which was his other passion. Mike loved the trains which went by the house every day.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; his stepchildren, Eric Mullen of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jennifer Mullen of Rochester; grandchildren, Rosalyn, Cadyn, Alli and Nathan; his mother, Diane Wendt of Rochester; and a brother, Kevin (Giesla) Wendt and their children.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wendt.
