Mildred 'Mimi' Lawler — Campbell, Calif.
Mimi was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Frankfort, Kan., to Margaret and Walter Leonard. Mimi had eight brothers and sisters.
She died Sept. 24, 2015, and was preceded in death by her husband, James P., and her son, John W.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (JoAnn) of Minnesota, Pat, Kevin (Mary), and her daughter Barbara. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She and her sister, Mary, served in the Marine Corps during World War II in San Francisco, where she met her husband.
She was a loving person, proud of her Irish heritage, loved gardening, and loved family gatherings and the San Francisco Giants. She was well-loved and will be missed by many. She was a star basketball player — "Frankfort Girl honored."
Funeral Mass will be on Friday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. at St. Lucy Parish, 2350 Winchester Blvd., Campbell, Calif. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
