Nen Nguyen Ngoun — Rochester

Nen Nguyen Ngoun, 85, of Rochester, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 5, 1928, in Seamreap, Cambodia, to Nghi Van Nguyen and Trong Thi Trong. She married Joseph Paul Chim and he preceded her in death Dec. 11, 2010.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was always willing to help anyone, and she especially loved caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by seven children, Ara Chim of Crystal, Chamroeun Chim of Murrieta, Calif., Vichea Chim of Battambong, Cambodia, Ponloeu Chim of Rochester, Bopha Chim of Ramsey, Nimol Chim of Ramsey and Mondol Chim of Oronoco; 35 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bora Leng.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,Joseph Chim, two sons, Lamun Chim and Sokhonn Chim, a daughter, Sakhon Chim and three sisters.

A funeral Mass was held at 11:30 a.m. today, April 21, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
