Norma Sheppard — Dos Palos, Calif.
Norma Jane Sheppard passed away on Oct. 31, 2015.
She was born Dec. 18, 1935, to Frederick and Alma Wacker, and was one of 14 children (five boys and nine girls). She graduated from high school in Rochester. Norma dated Marvin Sheppard in 1955, and they married in 1956. They moved to California in July 1956. Norma and Marvin were married for 48 years and had three children (two girls and one boy).
Norma worked at various careers, but the longest was at Schlumberger, where she worked for 30 years before retiring. Norma loved to crochet items for her family and charity. She was very well-liked, and will be missed.
Norma is survived by sisters, Ursula Thedens, of Rochester, Virginia Nitardy, Ruth Murray, Marjorie Lee and Janice Buelger, all of Minnesota, Betty (Frank) Schmidt, of Florida, Sheryle (Ron) Theel, of Missouri, and Dornie (Terry) Feick, of Washington; brothers, Frederick Jr. Wacker, Paul Wacker, Robert (Sharon) Wacker, all of Colorado, and Norman Wacker, of Iowa; daughters, Jacalyn Steele and Gay Lynn Petishnok; son-in-law, Chuck Petishnok; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; a brother, Frank; and her son, Perry.
Her funeral was on Nov. 6 at Habing Funeral Home in Gilroy, Calif. She was buried at Hope Cemetery in Morgan Hill. A memorial service was held at her home in Dos Palos on Nov. 7.
