Marc Louis Tennis, Saint Louis Park, MN, died unexpectantly of natural causes one day before his 52nd birthday. Marc was born on May 1, 1969, in Rochester, MN to Paul and Sharon Tennis. He attended Rochester Public Schools and graduated from Mayo High School in 1987. While in high school he played for the varsity basketball and football teams and loved his high school years.
Marc graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN, in 1991 with a BA in Business Management. He was a proud member of the Gustavus football team.
After college Marc began his career with Community Credit (eventually purchased by Wells Fargo) as a manager trainee and then as a credit manager in the Burnsville, MN office. He was promoted to branch manager of Rochester Community Credit office and worked there for five years. He then worked in Des Moines, Iowa for five plus years as a Quality Assurance-Information Technology Business Expert representing Wells Fargo Financial Acceptance/Auto Finance. He returned to Minneapolis and was promoted to Risk Consultant for Regulatory and Operational Risk Management, Wells Fargo Auto Finance. At the time of his death he worked as a Wells Fargo Outbound Sales Specialist and Personal Loan Consultant, St. Louis Park, MN.
Marc was a loving son and he and his Mom enjoyed a very close relationship. Marc was a proud father of his son Jaden and loved doing activities with him including biking, swimming, football and Xbox tournaments. He was very proud of Jaden’s achievements in school.
Marc loved his friends throughout the years and frequently shared fond stories of their experiences. He especially enjoyed his friends in his townhome community, St. Louis Park, including summer activities at the pool and grilling on the patio.
Marc is survived by his mother, Sharon Tennis, his son Jaden Lee Tennis, age 12, and Jaden’s mother, Jameelah Robertson. He is also survived by his uncle and aunt Richard and Margo Tennis and his first cousins, Randy, Martha and Rob. He was predeceased by his father Paul Tennis, his paternal grandparents Lowell and Orvilda Tennis and his maternal grandparents Lloyd and Lorraine Tverberg.
Marc left us too soon and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in peace.
A Memory Gathering will be held at Brothers Bar & Grill on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 2:00-4:00pm hosted by his friend Michael “Spike” Stephan.
