Patricia Rae Schandorff - Dodge Center

DODGE CENTER — The memorial service for Patricia Rae Schandorff will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 301 8th Ave. N.W., Kasson, with the Rev. Chris Brekke officiating. Inurnment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja.

Patricia Rae Schandorff, 70, died Saturday morning, Oct. 2, 2010, at her home in Dodge Center.

Patricia Rae Rich was born on Sept. 8, 1940, in Martin County, Minn., the daughter of Franklin and Lucille (Klomp) Rich. She attended Fairmont and Rochester schools. Patricia was united in marriage to Claude (Red) Schandorff on Dec. 30, 1961, in Northwood, Iowa. She was employed at AMPI and Textile Care in Rochester and had her own daycare for 10 years in Dodge Center. Later she was a cook at Triton High School.

Patricia enjoyed fishing, traveling, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and bird houses.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Claude (Red) Schandorff of Dodge Center; one daughter, Kari (Kenny) Trahan of West Concord; three sons, Kevin (Kim) Schandorff of Mantorville, Kyle Schandorff of Hayfield, and Keith (Heather) Schandorff of West Concord; step father, Levern Hanson of Mantorville; step sisters, JoAnn Smith of Springfield, Ore., Sharon Giesler of Lincoln, Neb., and Karen (Allan) Haugen of Lanesboro; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. in Dodge Center, and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
