Patrick Sean Fitzsimmons — Rochester

Patrick Sean Fitzsimmons, 55, of Rochester, passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014. after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born in Detroit, Mich., on June 6, 1959, and worked for Schmidt Printing in Byron for 30 years, making many friends of his co-workers there. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, online gaming, and was a voracious reader his entire life.

Pat's family would like to thank Dr. Brian Koh and the nurses at Methodist Hospital for their kindness in Pat's last days.

Pat is preceded in death by his father, Gerald "Fitz" Fitzsimmons.

He will be missed by his mother Glenna; son, Dan, Dan's fiancee, Samantha; sister, Deb Irvine; brother, Steve and Izzy; his sweet cat; along with nieces, Maddy (Erik) Grahek and Hannah Irvine; nephew, Sam Irvine; grand-niece, Eleanor Grahek; and many cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

We celebrated Pat's life at an informal gathering in the event room at Whistle Binkies Olde World Pub, 3120 Wellner Dr. N.E., Rochester, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22.

Donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
