Pauline Ida Inwards — Oronoco

Pauline Ida Inwards, 68, of Oronoco, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, of multiple myeloma at Zumbrota Nursing Home in Zumbrota. Pauline had cancer for eight years.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 19, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Pastor John officiating.

Pauline Ida, the daughter of Peter and Muriel Omland, was born June 16, 1945, in Alexandria. She grew up in Holmes City, and went to school there until 8th grade. After 8th grade, she attended Alexandria High School where she met and began dating Jon Inwards. She graduated in May 1963 from Alexandria High School. She went to the University of Minnesota, Morris for a year, and John Inwards attended St. Cloud State. On Dec. 27, 1964, she was united in marriage to Jon Inwards at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Holmes City. They were blessed with four children, Michael, Janet, Karen and Lonna.She started working in Saint Marys Hospital in the laundry department and then went to housekeeping. She retired in 2005 after working 25 years.

Pauline enjoyed traveling, reading, doing Sudoku and going to the casino.

She is survived by her husband, Jon; her children, Janet Inwards, Karen (Jeff) Davis, and Lonna Inwards; granddaughter, Kaylan Davis; brothers, LeRoy and Orv; and sisters Joyce, Nancy and Carolyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Michael, and sister, Viola Nelson.
