Robert A. 'Bob' Oehlke — Blooming Prairie

Funeral services for Robert A. "Bob" Oehlke will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stewartville, with the Rev. Lyle Fritsch officiating. Burial will take place at the Grand Meadow Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at the Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bob Oehlke, 47, of Grand Meadow, died Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester following a two-week battle with cancer.

Robert Allan Oehlke was born April 4, 1967, to Allan and Audrey (Jahns) Oehlke in Rochester. He attended and graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1985, and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin River Falls where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Engineering. He was united in marriage to Lori Hanson at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stewartville on Dec. 7, 1996. Bob crop farmed in the Grand Meadow and surrounding area with his brothers, Glenn and Jon.

He was a lifelong member of St John's Lutheran Church in Stewartville, and enjoyed spending time with his boys taking them out west snowmobiling.

He is survived by his wife, Lori; and sons, Brad Hanson and Michael and Kyle Oehlke, all of Grand Meadow; his parents, Audrey and Allan Oehlke; and his siblings, Lori (Curt) Petzel, Kathy (Mark) Carman, Glenn (Becky) Oehlke and Jon (Wendi) Oehlke, all of Grand Meadow.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
