Robert 'Bob' Hust — Stewartville

Robert William Hust, 55, of Stewartville, passed away on Dec. 27, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Hospital — Methodist Campus following an illness with leukemia.

Bob was born on March 12, 1960, in Rochester, to John and Anne Hust. He graduated from John Marshall High School and attended Rochester Community and Technical College. In May 1984, he married Debra Ann Joyce. Bob retired from IBM Rochester after more than 33 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. For Bob, family and friends always came first.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Stewartville; a daughter, Heather of La Crescent, and a son Luke (Amanda) of Mazeppa; siblings, Barb Brown of Deridder, La., Chris Persinger of Rochester, Terri (Steve) Berndt of Rochester, John (Nancy) Hust of Wabasha, Steve (Anne) Hust of Scottsdale, Ariz., Val (Charlie) Smart of Rochester, Richard (Kris) Hust of Oronoco, and Tony (Patty) Hust of Chino Valley, Ariz.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother James, and two brother-in-laws, Steve Brown and Mike Persinger.

A memorial service for Bob will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home officiated by Deacon John Hust. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred to the Eagles Cancer Telethon.
