Robert Scott Rohde — Rochester

Robert Scott Rohde, 64, of Rochester, died of cancer Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Seasons Hospice.

Bob was born Feb. 17, 1949, in Rochester, to Robert and Ruth (Weiberg-Brumm)Rohde. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1967 where he excelled in swimming, and trackand field. He attended Rochester Junior College for two years. Bob married Barbara E. Possin in 1974and was later divorced.Bob enjoyed his employment with the Rochester Fire Department, the Rochester Airport Fire Departmentand IBM.

He was an enthusiastic sportsman who enjoyed hunting with his dog, Sundance, fishing andserving as a volunteer storm spotter.

Survivors include his daughter, Briana Rohde of Byron; son, Colin Rohde of Charlotte, N.C.; andgranddaughter, Carissa Amdahl; brothers, Stephen (Shari) Brumm of Rochester and Frank Brumm ofShakopee.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob would like us to express his thanks to all of his friends of Bill W., and the many others who provided supportand care for him during his last years.

A informal memorial gathering for Bob Rohde will be held Thursday, Oct. 10, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. atGloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester.

A private family gathering will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the family or to the Cronin Home.
