Roger Arnold Prudoehl - Utica

Roger Arnold Prudoehl, age 53, of Utica, went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010.

Roger was born Feb. 27, 1957, to William and Mildred (Koetz) Prudoehl and grew up on the family farm north of Utica. He attended St. John’s Lutheran School in Lewiston and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1975.

He farmed with his parents and continued to farm after William’s death in 1991.

Roger was a past member of the St. Charles Jaycees and, when he was able, had loved to bowl, hunt, ride his motorcycle, and attend various farm events like thrashing bees. He liked to travel to places like John Wayne’s birthplace, Graceland, and South Dakota. He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lewiston and enjoyed singing in the choir for many years.

Roger had a big heart and a quick laugh. He loved his family and they will greatly miss him, but they know we will be reunited again.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Prudoehl; sister, Kathy Prudoehl; nephew, Nicholas (Bonnie) Prudoehl; 12 great and five great-great nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.

Roger was preceded in death his grandparents; father; brother, Donn; sisters, Patricia and Jean; niece, Patricia; and sister-in-law, Maxine.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston. The Rev. Michael A. Lindemann and the Rev. John Dermé will officiate.

Roger will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery, St. Charles.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, and an hour before the service at the church.
