Ronald Holmes Rochester

Ronald Wallace Holmes, 78, of Rochester, passed away peacefully Feb. 28, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Hospital — Saint Marys Campus. Ronald was born April 9, 1939, in Strykersville, N.Y., to Floyd and Doris Holmes. He worked for IBM for 35+ years, as an engineer, in Colorado, Florida and Rochester. He was an avid bowler and loved to reminisce about his days as a rescue diver.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sue; seven children, Katharine (Tony) Colvin, Joanne Bentley, Suzanne (Kevin) Remedies, Hollie (Jaxson) Phoenix, Heather (Tim) Fate, Derek (Sasha) Holmes, and Kassie (Erin) Holmes; 23 grandchildren and one on the way; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Russ (Jan) and Doug (Marie).

The family invites you to join them for his celebration of life from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the American Legion of Rochester.
