Rose M. Walch — Eyota

Rose M. Walch, 68, of Eyota, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Olmsted Community Hospital Emergency Room.

Rose was born Nov. 16, 1944, in Quincy Township, to Eugene and Minnie (Bedtka) Ball. She graduated from Dover-Eyota High School in 1962. She then worked at Crenlo in Rochester. On March 9, 1968, she married Donald Walch in St. Charles. They farmed four years near Elba and then 12 years east of Plainview. In 1989, they bought a farm in Viola Township, where they currently live.

Rose enjoyed her cats, feeding the birds and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Donald of Eyota.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview, with the Rev. Charles Coggins officiating. Burial will be at the Little Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
