Sandra A. Wyatt - Kasson

KASSON — Sandra Amelia Wyatt, age 67 of Kasson, died Wednesday morning, March 10, 2010, at her home, after a long battle with cancer.

Sandra's funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 301 Eighth Ave. N.W. in Kasson, with Rev. Harry Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 15, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Sandra Amelia Thorn was born Sept. 10, 1942, in rural Byron to Milo and Vivian (Dresen) Thorn. She attended Kasson-Mantorville High School and married Frank Wyatt on June 18, 1961, in Pine Island.

In addition to farming in Canisteo Township for many years, Sandy also enjoyed hiking, bird watching, nature, traveling, cooking, and formerly working at the church's lutefisk suppers, spending quality time with her family, working at Wards, and being a caregiver at Fieldcrest Nursing Home in Hayfield and The Methodist Hospital in Rochester.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank Wyatt; two children, Christopher and Andrew, both of Kasson, and a grandson; her mother, Vivian M. Thorn; four brothers, Kenneth (Deloris) of Osakis, Minn., Douglas (Pauline) of Owatonna, Minn., Gary (Shirley) of Rochester and Gregory (Betinna) of Fountain, Colo.; and one sister, Grace (Allan) Rustan of Byron. Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Milo; and one son, Francis.
