Sharon M. Finley -- Rochester

Sharon Marie Finley, age 74, of Rochester passed away peacefully on Aug. 29, 2018, at Rochester Health Services East.

Sharon was born on Aug. 7, 1944, in Chatfield, to Edwin and Jenny Finley. She went to Fillmore Elementary School and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1963. Sharon worked at KinderCare in Rochester from 1984 until her retirement as a cook. She enjoyed garage sales, gardening, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Phillip (JoAn) Konkel, of Sioux Falls, S.D., Aaron Konkel, of Rochester, and PeterPaul (Sabrina) Konkel, of Eyota; her niece, Cheryl Miller, of Red Wing; and 10 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Matthew; her brother, Ervin; her sisters, Maryjane, Leighla, Thelma, LaVerne, and Pauline.

The memorial service for Sharon will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service in the chapel. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rochester.
