Tony McCaleb -- St. Charles

ony Lee McCaleb, 41, of St. Charles, died Monday, April 24, at his home in hospice care.

Tony was born July 2, 1975, in Rochester to Ron and Loraine (Fowler) McCaleb. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1994. In 1995, Tony was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and became the first survivor of an unrelated bone marrow transplant in 1997. He married the love of his life, Lynelle Marie (Brubaker) McCaleb, Oct. 19, 2013. Tony drove school bus and inter-campus shuttle bus at Mayo Clinic operated by Laidlaw/First Student for 15 years. Currently, he was a supplemental driver for Hertz Rental Car. Tony enjoyed, being with family and friends, boating, catfishing, jet skiing, mudding on his four wheeler and just being outdoors. It was a thrill for Tony to get broke out of the hospital last week to go home and take his last four wheeler/Polaris Ranger ride with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Lynelle; a stepdaughter, Gabby Brubaker; parents, Ron and Loraine McCaleb of Rochester; a brother, Dustin (Rhoda) McCaleb of Granite Falls; a sister, Lori (Trent) Kleeberger of Byron; nieces and nephews, Dean, Lucy and Henry McCaleb, Rylee and Rosemary Kleeberger; father-in-law, Larry (Betty) Brubaker of Dover; mother-in-law, Dee Prudoehl of St. Charles; brother-in-law, Keith (Tracy) Brubaker of St. Charles and their children, Jessica and Jacob; sisters-in-law, Michele Brubaker and Aimee (Loren) Brubaker, all of Dover. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and a father-in-law, Donn Prudoehl.

Funeral service for Tony is 4 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Rochester Assembly of God Church, 4240 18th Ave. NW, Rochester, with the Revs. Dustin McCaleb and Jim Filbeck officiating. Visitation begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
