Walter "Wally" Feine - Rushford

RUSHFORD — Walter "Wally" Feine, 88, of Rushford, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.

He was born July 22, 1922, to Conrad and Christina (Brand) Feine at Hart, Minn. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hart. On Sept. 18, 1943, he was united in marriage to Lorraine (Tudy) Braatz at the parsonage at St. Martin’s; they had two daughters and farmed in the Hart area for 16 years before moving to Winona in 1959. Wally worked for Badger Construction Equipment Company for 28 years, retiring in 1987.

He and Tudy spent the winters in Arizona for 16 years. On Feb. 22, 2007, he moved into Good Shepherd.

He is survived by his wife, Tudy; daughter, Pat (Jerrold) Mades of Houston; son-in-law, Robert Kingsley of Rushford; five grandchildren, Stephen (Jodi) Kingsley, Kimberly (Ron) Mitera, Timothy (Stacey) Kingsley, Thad (Kara) Kingsley and Karla (Chad) Beach; 13 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Bree Lynn, Dylan, Bryce, Payton, Morgan, Sidney, Samuel, Lilly, Calli and Lucy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lois Kingsley; sister, Hazel Boehmke; brother, Willard; and foster sister, LuAnn Wenzel.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Hart, with the Reverend Merlin E. Stephan officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Hoff Funeral Home in Rushford, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Memorials are preferred to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church or the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Apartment Fund.
