Willette Norine Andersen — Rochester
Willette Norine Andersen, 62, of Rochester, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at Seasons Hospice, after a courageous battle with uterine cancer.
Willette was born Sept. 2, 1952, in Minneapolis, to Norris and Wilma (Bartz) Svien. Willette was a 1970 graduate of Bloomington Kennedy High School, and then went on to receive her associates degree from Minnesota School of Business. She married Paul Andersen in Minneapolis on Dec. 29, 1973.
Willette was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and a member of the church choir. She enjoyed shooting sports, sewing, quilters club and crafts of all types. Willette was a strong yet quiet and loving woman that always put her family first and was very giving of her time. She will be dearly missed.
Willette is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Paul of Rochester; daughter, Melony (Jerome) Brown of Apple Valley; brother, Norman (Jean) Svien of Prior Lake; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norris and Wilma.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1212 12th Ave. NW in Rochester.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW in Rochester, and one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Karna Hagen will be officiating with entombment at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
