William Dean Ernest Field II — Medina, Ohio
Heaven gained a new angel on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. William Dean Ernest Field II, 48, of Medina, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at St. Joseph's Hospital in Brainerd, after a two-and-a-half-year battle with lymphoma.
Dean was born in Camp Hill, Penn., to William and Marianne (Daft) Field and spent most of his childhood in St. Joseph, Mo. Dean was a devoted Christian husband, father and son, brother, friend, uncle, co-worker, and has left a legacy for all to carry on.
Dean was passionate in everything he did in his faith, family, friends, work and sports. He was competitive by nature and always loved a great adventure, a great story and a great laugh. He was usually the last to leave a party! Dean graduated from Iowa State University, with a mechanical engineering degree, he earned his masters at Boise State University, where he loved the blue turf, and he had a successful sales and management career at Cutler Hammer, Eaton Corporation, General Electric, Pentair/Hoffman Enclosures, and most recently was the vice president of Global Sales for Oatey in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dean was a world traveler and lived in Milwaukee, Wis., Denver, Colo., Boise, Idaho, Pittsburgh, Pa., Apple Valley, Minn., and Medina, Ohio. His love was working with people and mentoring them to achieve their best.
Dean was extremely loving and proud of his four children, Gabriella, Cassandra, Isabella and Noah. His precious "bride" Lori (Wagner) was his soul mate and was always supportive and by his side. His red golden retriever, Cooper Sergio Field, was his best friend and loyal companion.
He is survived by his wife; children; parents, William and Marianne Field of St. Joseph, Mo.; brother, Doug (Maria) Field of Ashville, N.C., and brother, Derrick "Bubba" (Stacey) Field of Kansas City, Mo.; as well as his many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, aunts and uncles and MANY, MANY friends. Dean was truly blessed to have so many people that touched his life!
Dean's family will receive friends Monday, July 21, at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court Street, Medina, Ohio, 44256, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A celebration of life service will held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Cornerstone Chapel, 3939 Granger Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. Please wear your favorite color in honor of Dean. Dean will be laid to rest at the Poe Cemetery in Medina immediately following the service.
