This is in regard to Nathan Allen's Jan. 7 letter complaining about receiving a $40 fine for not shoveling a half-inch of snow from the sidewalk in front of his house.
Sidewalks that are shoveled are infinitely more slippery than those left alone. There should be an ordinance prohibiting sidewalks from being shoveled.
Crunchy snow beats exposed concrete or asphalt any day. I walk outside for at least an hour a day, and I know what I am talking about.
