We enthusiastically endorse Ardell Brede to serve another term as Rochester's mayor.
During his years of service, he has admirably represented Rochester at state, national and international levels. In addition to being an ambassador for the city, his accessibility is well-known. With seemingly unlimited energy and enthusiasm, he attends and supports a multitude of various organizations and events.
Of special note are the new Ardee Awards, established by the Rochester Arts Council and named for the mayor because of his support of the arts in Rochester.
As the Destination Medical Center implementation moves forward, Mayor Brede's background with the DMC initiative is crucial.
Finally, he is non-partisan as a mayoral candidate should be.
