If your Rochester address ends in NE (NW between Broadway and John Marshall: you're
cool too), you really ought to meet Sankar Bandi. He's a Mayo employee and small business owner who is campaigning to represent residents of Ward 5 on the Rochester City Council.
Sankar will ensure that the investments the city of Rochester makes in itself are wise and accounted for. He wants to help lift residents out of poverty by supporting affordable housing that blend into our neighborhoods instead of becoming pockets of crime within them. Sankar isn't the type who is in this for his own interests.
With two kids in Rochester schools and an appreciation of how good this community has been to his family in their 11 years here, Sankar is just hopeful to return the favor. When Sankar Bandi or a supporter like me comes knocking on your door sometime between now and election day I hope you'll take a few moments to share your ideas for how the city council can make your neighborhood an even greater place to live.
