Overheard at a restaurant, someone said, "I can't believe BP and other oil companies have raised gasoline prices so high, especially at this time of the year."
Really! Do some people actually believe that? The millions of dollars in fines will be offset by huge price increases until all that money is back in the hands of BP and other oil companies. Of course, that big increase in prices will likely become the standard for Big Oil for years to come.
Do you really believe Big Oil planned to pay for the damages in the gulf?
