Bigger won't be better for Good Foods Store

I must echo Michelle Anderson's sentiments from Aug. 12 about the unfortunate proposed merger of the Good Foods Store and the La Crosse Co-Op.

I have been a shopper at the Good Foods Store since it was a small space next to a railroad track. I enjoy its current size, selection and staff tremendously.

While I wander through aisles of product in "regular" grocery stores, becoming frustrated at the vastness of the space, I am always happy when I shop at the Good Foods Store. Like Michelle, I feel a real sense of peace there.

I hope the members vote the merger down. Bigger is not always better, and in this case, for me, it will end my co-op shopping experience.
