Blockchain, bitcoin and Mayo Clinic

This seems like an interesting presentation at Mayo Clinic.

Robert Miller, "a blockchain enthusiast since 2011" and staffer at the UK-based Medicalchain, gave an educational presentation sponsored by the Dept. of Business Development in Rochester today (Monday).

I thought Medicalchain might be some sort of patient restraint device, but company's website says it uses the trendy blockchain technology to create electronic patient records.

Miller was expected to talk about "Bitcoin, Initial Coin Offerings, as well as sharing his framework for how to apply blockchain technology to healthcare, and exploring several practical use cases."

His presentation was live streamed "to multiple Mayo Clinic campuses around the nation and distributed internally," according to Medicalchain.

I wonder how Medicalchain would fit in with the Epic electronic records operation ?

For the record, Miller is not a newcomer to Mayo Clinic. His bio on the Medicalchain site says:

"He has worked with multiple successful startups, completed industry research with the Mayo Clinic and lead a team to conduct medical research."

Did anyone see or hear this? If so, how was it?
