I am the first to admit I am not an authority on all things political. I am a dietitian, speaker and mother of seven. The latter is where I spend most of my focus.
I know many, if not most, "normal voters" are fed up with elections and politicians in general. I have many conversations with friends over the need to make some big changes. But that's pretty much all we do. We wring our hands. We wonder what can be done to instigate change. And then we go back to our lives and family duties.
Not Breanna Bly. Years ago when she, too, had young children, Breanna saw problems with the school system. Did she sit and wring her hands about it? Nope. She got elected to the school board, where she did so much good in implementing changes that would not only help her own children, but all children in Rochester schools.
Now, she can do the same with our state government. She sees areas that can be improved. Unlike most politicians, she won't stop her work after the election. For her, that's when the work begins. She will, indeed, make the necessary changes to help not just her own family and interests but also the well being of all of her constituents.
