Brennan's = Bobbie's in Radi.

A new sign has gone up on the main level of the Radission Plaza Hotel at 150 S. Broadway in downtown Rochester (You know, Gus Chafoulias' place).

The sign says "Bobbie's." That evidently is the new name for the breakfast restuarant that replaced the former bar and dinner place.

This is third incarnation in recent memory. First, that spot became McComick's when that eatery moved downstairs to make room for the shiny Metro bar.

Then it was called Brennan's, reportedly after a New Orelans spot that owner Gus Chafoulias likes.

And now it is Bobbie's.

My only question is will the incredibly decadent Sunday brunch spread that McCormick's used to offer re-appear at Bobbie's. Probably not cost effective, it sure was good.

Here what Kevin Molloy, the president of Marquis, had to say to Matt Russell about the switch:

"It’s simply a name change," he said. He added that the name change happened last weekend.

They will still have breakfast service only, with service from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The menu is also staying the same, he said.
