Foreclosures in Minnesota and in Olmsted County rose in the first quarter of 2010 over the first quarter of 2009, according to HousingLink, an affordable housing advocacy group.
They also rose in seven of the eight counties in southeastern Minnesota, with only Houston County dropping, HousingLink said.
Statewide, the only quarter with more foreclosures was the second quarter of 2008. Foreclosures dropped in 2009 from 2008, but the first quarter of 2010's increase show that the crisis isn't entirely over.
