Furst Draft: Mayo doc performs pop classics at Gonda

I had no idea that Dr. Ed, who's an ace race horse handicapper as well as accomplished author and doctor, is also a recital-caliber pianist. He'll perform in the Gonda atrium at noon on Thursday.

This concert is open to all staff, students, volunteers, patients, and visitors and is in collaboration with Mayo Clinic Heritage Days.

Dr. Edward Creagan is a Professor of Medical Oncology and Mayo's first physician to be board-certified in Hospice Medicine and Palliative Care. Dr. Creagan previously served as the President of the Staff of Mayo Clinic. He is currently the John and Roma Rouse Professor of Humanism in Medicine and has a particular interest in psycho/social/spiritual aspects of the patient with advanced cancer.

Among his many leadership positions, notable awards, books he has written, and patients he has served, Dr. Creagan is an accomplished pianist.
