Sorry this is getting posted so late, but at least I beat faceoff for each of tonight's games. Baby Feldy is being particularly uncooperative today. Apparently she doesn't appreciate me trying to get some work done. Who knew a 2-month-old has to eat so much? ;)
Three Rochester teams -- all but Century -- are in action tonight. The biggest game of those three, at least in terms of postseason implications, is up in Lakeville, at 7:30 p.m. Rochester Mayo travels there to face Lakeville North. Right now, those teams would most likely be sitting in the top three of the section, along with Lakeville South, for playoff seedimg purposes. A Mayo win could all but lock up that top-3 seed. The Spartans still have to play Century and Owatonna once more, but Mayo has already defeated them once each.
We'll break down the Section 1 seeding possibilities later this week, likely after Thursday's big game between Mayo and Owatonna. That game will not only impact the Section 1AA seedings. but it will also have a big say in who becomes the Big Nine Conference champion.
For now, though, a look at tonight's games:
