When the new sign went up at 415 South Broadway, next to Loving Fun Lingerie, I had an inkling that a new hand was now creating body art in the long-time tattoo shop.
Larry Johns opened Human Tattoo on Jan. 1. He stepped into the sp ot after Thomas Titus' closed his Top Cat Tattoo to focus on his other Top Cat shop in Red Wing, says Johns.
"The opportunity just presented itself," says Johns of the chance to open his own place in the 616-square-foot shop.
He offers a full line of skin art services, though it does not include piercing.Why call the shop Human Tattoo?

"We're all human, aren't we? At the end of the day, that's what we are," said the philosophical Johns.
Before Top Cat and now Human Tattoo, Tattoos by James dispensed creative ink at that spot.
