IBM has confirmed 12 jobs were in Rochester on Wednesday.
Not sure how that fits in with the unconfirmed buzz about 215 jobs being cut in the company.
I do know that 38 people were cut in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
And this morning I got a note that IBM is closing five of its six campus libraries in Rochester, Austin, Burlington, Poughkeepsie and Tuscon. The IBM spokesman who confirmed the job cuts was not aware of the library and could not confirm that.
IBM communications is checking on the accuracy of that information for me and I should know more soon.
