While wandering around downtown Rochester Friday, I took a good look at the brand new Opus Imaging Center at Fourth Avenue and Third Street.
The $12 million, 40,000-square-foot Opus Building opened in September. It houses the two-floor Mayo Clinic Center for Advanced Imaging Research, funded with a $2.4 million National Institutes of Health infrastructure grant, $2.6 million from Mayo and $7 million from the Opus Group, a private national real estate firm headquartered in Minneapolis.
Opus is also kicking $1 million a year to fund research.

Opus, of course, is also the force behind the Shoppes on Maine development in south Rochester.
Anyway, here's a pic of how it looked Friday compared to an early April pic.
Things change quick around here. so you have to keep your eyes open…or at least a camera handy.
