FELDY: I can confirm Phersy is still alive, but I can understand his absence from our little corner of the blogosphere. Somebody give me something to be excited about in the sports world. Please. Anybody? Bueller? (EDIT: I can confirm that Phersy is still partially alive ... he's been at home, not feeling well, to say the least. I think he'll live. I think.)
The Twins are sadly already an afterthought for me. I haven't watched a full game yet this season; just can't get myself excited about them. It seems like everytime I watch a few innings, their pitching is struggling, their relievers are struggling and their hitters are struggling. The A.L. Central hasn't exactly been the best so far this year, so maybe I shouldn't count the Twins out just yet, but I can't get excited about some of the guys they're trotting out there.
The NHL and NBA playoffs are still fun to watch, but without a Minnesota squad remaining, there's no edge-of-your-seat excitement.
Golf's U.S. Open is still almost two months away, there's no Nationwide Tour event at Somerby to look forward to and NFL season is still more than four months out.
I guess I'll just enjoy the beautiful weather we've been having ... oh, wait, not that, either.

So, tell me, Faceoff rubes, what's there to be excited about in the sports world this summer?
