We're voting for Jean Marvin for Rochester School Board. Here's why: Jean has 40 years of experience as a teacher, a teacher trainer, a community volunteer, a mother and a grandmother of five future Rochester schoolchildren. She knows and respects the history of Rochester. She has helped to build this inclusive city. She has a vision for a school system that serves all of our children, from the highly gifted to the greatly challenged. She has worked with the whole range of abilities, and she knows how to help everyone succeed. She's a great listener — she will really listen to you. Jean Marvin has the homegrown expertise we need to move the Rochester Public Schools forward.
Please vote in the primary on Aug. 12. You can also vote anytime before then at the election center at 1421 3rd Ave. S.E. That's just a block south of our corn cob tower. It's open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
