Kilen's openness, insights make her good choice for Rochester mayor
I attended the Creative Salon's open-mic night last week and was interested to see Stephanie Kilen speak to the crowd about her mayoral campaign. Her energy and openness really connected with me as it did with others in the crowd.
In an era of cynicism and mistrust of government, it is refreshing to see someone with such community spirit and with no political affiliation step up to lead our community. Stephanie is someone I feel comfortable talking to about issues that are important to me.
She is from Rochester originally but left for college and has lived in other places in the country. This has given her a broader perspective for what our community can be, which is very important as we embrace the changes coming as a result of our continued growth and Destination Medical Center.
I plan to support Stephanie Kilen for mayor in the primary on Aug. 12, and I hope you will too. We need her energy, passion, ideas and leadership to make our community even better.
