KROC Morning Show + award
James Rabe has done it again. The ubiquitous Rochester morning DJ has picked up yet another accolade.
Alan DeKeyrl and CWS have awarded the latest Innovation Award to the KROC Morning Show . I hadn't been to the morning show's Web site before, but a quick visit makes me understand why it was chosen. Interaction with the public is always a good thing. At the P-B, however, there is some concern whenever I escape the building and run loose among normal people. You never know what I'll do. I don't.
Anyway, back to the deserving James and the morning show. Congratulations on the award. Here's some from the award posting:
Over the past few years, James Rabe has done an amazing job of transforming the morning "radio" show into an interactive medium using the web. He uses the web to "communicate" with his listeners on items he talks about on-air. For example, he uploaded a picture of the $1,200 chandelier that Britney Spears had put on her baby registry after discussion the topic on-air. This type of activity has greatly enhanced the "dialogue" that he (as a radio personality) can have with his listeners.
But James hit a "home run" when he started taking pictures at Rookie's Ladies Night and posting them to an online photo album.
